The film utilizes pixilation, projected animation and stop motion animation techniques using various materials including organza fabric, museum gel, laser pointers and many more.

Storyboards.
As the director, it was my responsibility to establish a visual language and pace for the film to follow in its progression. Below are several examples of board explorations. Unlike traditional boards, these are not as tightly drawn to give room for experimentation with materials and timing to get the most effective results.
Material explorations.
Before the film process began, I took multiple takes experimenting with materials such as the laser pointer, which was initially thought to be the only physical material that was going to be used in the film. Beginning September of 2019, we began to branch out and tested animating using various other materials as well.
